COVID HALTON 732 TOTAL CASES

A recent rise in cases in the borough has seen King’s College London’s Covid Symptom Study add Halton to its “watch list”, where it joins areas like Blackburn, Kirklees and Salford that have already gone back into lockdown.

New rules from today 14 Sept 20.

Do not gather in groups of more than six, either indoors or outside, and avoid all crowded environments where the risk of transmission is higher.

Stay at least 2 metres away from anyone you do not live with or who is not in your support bubble.

Wash your hands with soap and water often, and as soon as you get home. Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water not available.

Wear a face covering over your mouth and nose wherever social distancing is not possible outdoors and indoors. By law, you must now wear them in most indoor settings including public transport, shops, post-offices, banks, beauty salons, visitor attractions and entertainment venues, libraries, community centres, places of worship and public areas in hotels.

Only use Covid Safe businesses that are following the government guidance to help keep you safe.

If you are unwell and any Coronavirus symptoms develop, then you should get tested, and if notified to, stay at home for 14 days.
